Biography
I am a Mauritian photographer based in Paris. My work centres on people, their communities, their land, and the traditions that bind them. The camera has allowed me to step into spaces and places I would not have access to otherwise, documenting communities and the intricate relationship between people and the land in Mauritius and France.
Project describtion
‘Latet Mytik’ is an ongoing documentary project exploring the villages surrounding Pieter Both Mountain in Mauritius through the lenses of mythology, colonial memory and communal life. It asks what it means to live in the shadow of a mountain that has been mythologized, named by colonisers and continually reimagined by generations of Mauritian writers and thinkers.
Project in production. Estimated to be finished around the end of 2026
